Course Outline
Develop the skillsets needed to guide the delivery of value in a Lean enterprise by becoming a SAFe® 6.0 Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM). During this two-day SAFe POPM course, attendees gain an in-depth understanding of how to effectively perform their role in the Agile Release Train (ART) as it delivers value through program increments, from exploring product roles and responsibilities through PI Planning, iteration execution, and getting certified.
Attendees explore how to apply Lean thinking to decompose Epics into Features and Stories, refine Features and Stories, manage ART and Team backlogs, and to plan and execute Iterations and Program Increments. Attendees also discover how the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevOps culture contribute to the relentless improvement of the ART, and how AI can support product roles through prompt design, responsible AI practices, and AI-augmented ways of working.

Prerequisites
All are welcome to attend the training, regardless of experience. However, the following prerequisites are highly recommended for those who intend to take the certification exam:
- Leading SAFe® Certification Training
- Experience working in a SAFe environment
- Experience with fundamental Agile training at the level of Agile Fundamentals Training

Certification Information
- Duration: 90 minutes
- Number of Questions: 45
- Passing Score: 80%
- Delivery: web-based, closed book, no outside assistance
- Access: Practice and certification exams are available in your Scaled Agile Community portal under the course you’re attending.
- Cost: Initial cost is included in the course registration fee if taken within 30 days of course completion.
- Retake Fee: $50; $250 for SPCs
- Retake Policy: First retake may be taken immediately after the first failed attempt. Second retake may be taken 10 days after the first retake. Third retake may be taken 30 days after the second retake. All subsequent retakes require a 30-day wait.
